Three Ways Dr. Lindsey Elmore Makes Rare Oils Last

Posted on March 16th, 2015 | 13 comments

Many of our members have been concerned about our low supply of difficult-to-source essential oils. Some of our oils are available only on a seasonal basis, and other oils are so rare that I am grateful to have ever had exposure to them.

I am often asked why this is. Well, it’s pretty simple really: Young Living doesn’t accept anything but the best.

It has always been Young Living’s duty to give our members the purest, most effective essential oil products available anywhere. As I have seen firsthand at our Highland Flats and Northern Lights farms, dealing with nature as a business partner is not always easy. The weather can be too hot, too cold, too wet, or too dry. These whims of nature impact our oil production and your business, but we make it a point to never cut corners or sacrifice quality.

So how can we get the most out of these rare oils when they’re available? Here are a few of my favorite tips on how to make them last all year.

Cooking really amplifies the aroma and intensity of essential oils. In other words, it doesn’t take a lot to really spice up your favorite dish! I love to add a drop of Basil to a vegan cauliflower alfredo sauce that I make, and I add a drop or two of Jade Lemon to my drinking water for a fresh taste. You can find all kinds of ways to use these special oils in your kitchen!

Creating your own home and personal care products is so much fun and makes for great gifts, while stretching the oils you choose. I love my homemade body scrub with Lavender and Frankincense and my body moisturizer with Lavender, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, and Geranium.

Aria Diffuser with Essential Oils - Young LivingYoung Living offers an impressive assortment of diffusers and nebulizers. Diffusers are a worthwhile investment because they stretch your essential oil budget and disperse the essential oil throughout a much larger area than other methods. I have an AromaLux in my living room, a Bamboo Diffuser in my kitchen, a Home Diffuser in my guest room and bathroom, a Rainstone in my bedroom, a USB diffuser on the road, and an Aria in my office. I love them all!

These are just a few ideas I’ve had. Leave a comment and tell us how you make the most of your essential oils!

Introducing the NEW AromaLux Atomizing Diffuser

Posted on July 28th, 2014 | 7 comments

One of the easiest and most popular ways to reap the benefits found in our pure, effective essential oils is through diffusing. The refreshing aromas of essential oils create a positive, uplifting atmosphere in any home or office, and our line of diffusers is designed to make it easy to fill any space with the scents of your favorite essential oils and blends.

Young Living AromaLux Diffuser

If you want to reap the most intensive benefits from essential oils, check out our newest diffuser, the AromaLux™ Atomizing Diffuser. This Young Living exclusive turns undiluted essential oil into microsized particles that fill a space quickly, no water required! The AromaLux was designed by D. Gary Young and took two years to perfect. It’s only available through Young Living and includes the widest array of controls and adjustability offered in any of our diffusers.

The vapor volume control lets you decide how much essential oil vapor output you want: a low volume to scent a room and conserve oil, a high volume to deliver a powerful stream of pure essential oil vapor for maximum benefits, or anywhere in between!

The master timer allows you to choose how long your AromaLux will run before it automatically shuts off, from 1 to 10 hours.

The diffusion run and diffusion pause timers allow you to customize intervals of diffusion up to 20 minutes. For example, you can set your AromaLux to diffuse for 15 minutes, then pause for 7, then begin the interval again for as long as you have set the master timer to run.

Finally, the light control allows you to choose between six light display options: white, red, green, blue, a cycle of all the colors, or off. These color settings can be used to complement the positive energy-enhancing properties of the AromaLux’s pyramid design.

What’s your favorite diffusion method? Have you tried the AromaLux? Tell us what oils or blends you use and how you diffuse them in the comments below!
