In my last blog post, I promised additional tips for beginning and sustaining a healthy cleanse. But before I discuss those details, I’d like to identify the reasons cleansing can be so beneficial, especially during this time of year.
According to natural-health pioneers such John Tilden, Dr. Randolph Stone, Dr. Bernard Jensen, Dr. John Ray Christopher, Dr. Richard Shultze, and Gary Young, most disease is the result of a poor diet that is high in animal products, overly processed foods, and foods that are high in fat and low in fiber. When we combined this poor diet with environmental toxin exposure and lack of exercise, we develop all sorts of problems such as inflammation, headaches, skin issues, and a sluggish immune system.
A dirty, compacted colon may be the culprit of these health issues. A clean, properly functioning colon, however, is the gateway to vibrant health. The natural-health advocates I mentioned above have taught and proven to their patients that miraculous healing occurs with thorough colon cleansing.
So without further ado, here are a few tips to help you with your summer cleanse—along with some proven Young Living products that will help you transform your health this season.
Tip 1: Enjoy plenty of raw fruits and veggies, fresh juice, sprouted legumes and beans, lots of garlic, olive oil, and add more cayenne to your diet. The more alive a food is, the more prana (life force) it has and the more vibrant and alive you will feel when you consume it. Refrain from eating all animal products, processed and refined foods, sugar, salt, alcohol, coffee, over-the-counter drugs, recreational drugs, and fried foods. Canned and processed food is dead!
Tip 2: Drink more water. I know I stated this in my previous blog, but the more water your colon has, the easier it is to eliminate toxins. Can you drink at least 64 ounces of water a day?
Tip 3: Get your body moving. Do more squatting, such as malasana, and walk more. Physical movement activates peristalsis, the wave-like contractions that move food through the intestines.
