Protect Yourself from Cold and Flu Season

Posted on January 19th, 2011 | 5 comments

Every year I do what I can to arm myself against the cold & flu season. I wash my hands at every opportunity, I drink plenty of water, and I try to get a solid seven or eight hours of sleep each night.

Despite my best efforts, however, interacting with germs is almost unavoidable. Door handles, dollar bills, elevators, playgrounds, and public places are all hot beds for germs! Instead of avoiding these things, and life in general, I’ve started incorporating a few Young Living products into my regimen that have greatly strengthened my immune system, allowing my body to fight off germs and bacteria from the inside out.

Young Living Life 5 Probiotic Dietary SupplementLife 5™—Did you know that your digestive tract is largely responsible for your body’s immune system? This area acts as the command center of the immune system and the eliminator of waste products. In order for it to work properly, a partnership with billions of probiotics is necessary to prevent the proliferation of harmful bacteria and to help flush waste in your system. Life 5 provides a daily boost of five of the most clinically proven and advanced probiotics, including three super strains that represent the most health-promoting and viable strains ever prepared in a supplement.

Young Living Super C Dietary SupplementSuper C™—Young Living’s Super C not only contains 2,166 percent of the recommended dietary intake of vitamin C per serving, but it also fortifies with rutin, citrus bioflavonoids, and minerals to enhance the effectiveness and absorption of vitamin C.* The essential oils that are added to this supplement may also increase bioflavonoid activity. This product helps normal immune and circulatory functions, strengthens connective tissues, and helps to promote overall health, vitality, and longevity.*

Young Living Inner Defense Dietary SupplementInner Defense™—Inner Defense strengthens your body by creating an unfriendly environment for yeast and fungus, thereby improving digestion and supporting the respiratory system to help fight wintertime discomforts. Young Living’s powerful essential oils—including oregano, thyme, and Thieves® essential oil blend—are key components of this total system protection supplement.

Personally, since I added Ningxia Red to my Whole Food Super Supersuplement [was called the Greatest Vitamin in the World] and getting my probiotics and extra enzymes from it, I’ve only had sniffles a few times in 4 years. Then I took one Inner Defence and was well by morning. What a difference!

Hi Madelyn, listed below is the suggested dosage for products mentioned in this blog post.

      Super C
For reinforcing immune strength, take 2 tablets daily. For maintenance, take 1 tablet daily. Best if taken before meals.

      Life 5
Take 1 capsule every night following a meal, or as needed.

      Inner Defense
Take 1 capsule daily in a.m. or take 1 capsule 3-5 times daily when stressed. For best results, use Life 5 8 hours later.

When you have a weak immune system, you can catch a cold. The symptoms range from sneezing to runny nose, and having a sore throat or cold. Those susceptible to developing a cold are the young and the elderly, especially those on long term medication for conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
