Young Living recently unveiled two new diffusers—TheraPro Premium Diffuser and Aria Ultrasonic Diffuser. One of these two diffusers will fit your style of diffusing Young Living essential oils. In this post, I really like the TheraPro diffuser.

TheraPro Premium Diffuser
If you’re after serious therapeutic diffusion, TheraPro is the best choice.

The engineer who partnered with Young Living created this all-in-one model, making sure the oil droplets coming out of the atomizer are the smallest ever—between one and three microns. Small micron size means quick respiratory absorption for quick therapeutic action. To test it out, simply slip in a 15 ml bottle of any eucalyptus Young Living essential oil in and experience the difference.

The atomizing diffuser in the TheraPro is a real work horse. I turned on four TheraPros at maximum capacity in late December 2009, hoping to burn out the motors after a few weeks of continuous work. Guess what? Those four diffusers are still going after more than six months, with no sign of slowing down. I’m completely impressed with its solid construction.

The TheraPro is revolutionary because there is no mess and no wasted oil. Your 15 ml bottle of oil simply screws right into the atomizer; the atomizer sucks up the oil, disperses the vapor into the air, and returns the unused oil right back to the bottle. Amazing!

On the back, the TheraPro has an interface that gives you complete control of the amount of oil diffused and for how long. If you want more oil, just turn up the air volume. Don’t want it on continuously? Simply use the duration controls.

A member of Young Living’s Facebook community recently asked a question about using Thieves® essential oil blend in a humidifier. This is a common question, so I’d like to share my response:

Young Living does not recommend putting essential oils in a humidifier for two reasons:

• First, too much oil in the humidifier system can clog up the unit—and they really aren’t made to clean.
• Second, many essential oils have what’s called a “flash point” or a point at which the oil combusts; different oils flash at different heats. If a significant amount of oil comes in contact with a hot enough surface, it may ignite.

While a humidifier is probably considered safe, as a general rule, it’s better to run a nebulizer in the same room with the humidifier.

I recently read some interesting research done on a variety of essential oils. The Journal of Food Safety reported that oregano and cinnamon have the best resistance to certain kinds of pathogens.

Researchers tested an experimental tomato-based film infused with essential oils to be used in various food packaging to ward against bacteria like e-coli, salmonella, and listeria. The study showed out of all the oils tested oregano and cinnamon had the best results in eliminating these dangerous bacteria on contact in vapor form. Researchers also tested clove and garlic essential oils with good results. Clove, as you know, is a key ingredient in Young Living’s Thieves® products.

Hello there! I’m Christina Moore. Some of you may know me as the “Let’s Make a Deal” lady from convention 2006. I started working at Young Living in 2004 in Distributor Network Services. Currently, I am Product Manager over the Thieves product line. I feel lucky to be over this line of products because they represent something I can truly get behind and support. Each sink in my apartment has a Thieves Foaming Hand Soap (with at least 20 in storage) and the first thing I do when I go to a hotel room is completely spray down the bed, pillows, and blankets with Thieves Spray. It is my goal to continue to bring you quality Thieves products.

Now, take a minute and think about all the places you visit in a day or in a week’s time. It’s probably quite a few. Now think about all the germs, dirt, and bacteria you’ve likely come into contact with at all those places. I know…GROSS!

We all have hectic and busy schedules that take us many different places. If you’re like me, you go to the bank, grocery store, dentist office, auto repair shop, school, and let’s not forget public restrooms. While most of these places are covered in things we’d rather not imagine, the good news is we don’t have to take “souvenirs” home with us.
